Blu Ray Disc
Blu Ray disk also has been known as BD are storage medium optic disc which is use to keep HD video and data. Physically, the size is similar like DVD and CD but only format is different. Blue 405 nanometer laser has been use to allowed it to be readable and writable. The close distances make it more data can be store in Blue Ray disc which is about 6 times capacity of dual layer DVD.
Now, more film has been copy to blue ray disc all over the world because of the quality they bring. High definition video at 1920 x 1080i resolution can be copy to BD at 60 frame per second or 24 pfm progressive.
Some of the Blu Ray brand on the market is TDK, Sony, Toshiba, Mitshubishi, Philips, Imation and many more. There are some rumors telling that a few companies want to produce BD disk with capacity 100GB and 200GB. Their proto type maybe we can see soon.
